CD design

I first of all want to point out the graphic of the fist and how awesome i think it is.  The strong graphic of the fist makes my eye go there.  I also like the color scheme and how it is simple with just 3 colors and nothing to crazy going on.  I think the ballon shapes on either side of the bassnectar title needs to get some more breathing room between the edge and the image, and it needs to be centered better its more left heavy than right.

Full CD liner

I Dont like the type on any page of this cd booklet.  I do like the texture of the photoshopped image.  I like the placement of the type, and maybe even the fire lives on the cover, but i think a new font is NEEDED.  I like how half of the person is on the back while still being on the front. I still think the Type needs some toying with.

CD Side/Back

I think the photoshop work needs to be finished on this back cover but i want to focus on the side.  I enjoy the type they used and the white on blue works well.  I do expect higher qaulity work from Universal Records.  I can see all the sloppy work done on the back cover, it is very obvious, i Have to give this a C-

CD back

I like the simplicity of this back cover.  The image is not to heavy and everything seems to flow nicely. The white type works well with the background color.  I need to remember to put a barcode on my cd case, i have almost forgotten how vital that is for a product.  Its the small things that get overlooked.  the sides are also well done, using a shade of the background color, just a bit lighter in color, i like it.  I also like how the type next to the barcode is in uniform and has good continuity.  If this was my piece i would make it more colorful and use a different font for the list of songs, it almost ruins the entire back cover.  Every other piece of type looks great, thats probably why.

CD back

I like the cloud to sand(?) to sky transition of the main background.  I notice there is NO barcode.  This may have been missed? I like no love the font that was used for songs(?).  The white dove in the sand area really fills the empty space well.  The artistic illustrations are great, i always admire art like this.  It's almost fun and no matter how the cd design is put together the illustrations like these seem to make it work no matter what.

CD

Its always fun when the cd design takes 2D and pushes it to a more of a different perspective other than just a falt design with text.  These 3D puzzle pieces that look like they are falling really makes this design worth having on your cd.  The cooler your design looks the more people will be attracted to it.  That is always a plus in the design and business world.

CD Back/Sides

We all know Eminem or Marshall Mathers and his success, but when we look at the back of this cd cover it shows in his success.  with success like he has had comes with high quality designs, people expect this.  I think this is a great example of good design, sure some things could be tweaked like the multiple different sizes in all the type( could be simplified to 2 or 3 sizes all around).  Take notice to the sides the logos are pushed all the way to the sides, i think the should be more centered because the cornered bevels around th cd case will distort the words.

CD Back

I think there are to many colors in the background, needs to be simplified to fewer.  The gradient overall all the text on the right side needs to be taken away, it looks bad.  the sides look ok.  the logo is the only thing that makes this cd case quality approved.

This dvd back looks gross.  Just gross.  The type is to many different sizes, it is also a horrible choice of font, not to mention the poor color choice. i dont understand the moon background either, nothing about this makes sense.

This is a neat back cd cover.  I always say when things are simple and look great, its an amazing piece. the placement of the type, the barcode, and the information on the side is looking good.  the color scheme is probably what ties everything together so well on this cover.  i also like how they have the duration next to every song, so you know what to expect when listening to every song.

CD Inside

The continuity in this cd case really flows well from the inside cover all the way to the cd itself.  The colors seem bright and wonderful but i think they are to generic like a preset color scheme.  the honey comb design is old and outdated, it is hard to find any piece of art that those honeycomb cells look good in, it almost take away from the professional look of it when you put those cells on it. i do enjoy the shadow of the guitar man and the typography.

Kiosk Intro

I wanted to incorporate a "touch to begin"or "click to begin" into my kiosk.  I think its fun and gets the user to want to engage in the interactive media piece faster and show more interest which means they will remember more of it when viewing it.  I dont like the animation of the human business woman on this intro screen, but i am a firm believer in these "touch to begin" intro to a kiosk.

Im not sure how i feel about the use of text in each box, i would make all the pictures fit in each box perfectly in the top right corner with maybe even the text going over the picture .  The number of fonts is too high, lessen.  I like the bottom navigation a lot. It is probably the most professional looking part of this kiosk other than the spectaular picture in the background, which also works well with this home screen.

Kiosk's for car companies always seem to have a floor or empty room on the hompage, then you click or touch the interactive screen to a link and a car ussually pops up and can spin, or change colors.  Kiosk's for cars are my persoanl favorite, because they mostly have no errors, and always look professional, almost futuristic.

When i think of a kiosk for a school or something of relevance, I think of a kiosk similar to one that looks like this.  The links on the left in the circles really grabs my attention and looks sophisticated.  I really think this is a top candidate in the screens i have researched for the best looking given the subject of focus.  I would change to drop shadow on " Welcome".

Casino Interface

I love the color on this, just from the first few seconds of looking at this, i can already know i will enjoy navigating through this kiosk.  Not just because it is a casino but the colors, the images, the continuity...it all looks ON POINT.  this is the kind of kiosk i would like to imagine i would make for a company one day.  It just looks PRO.

Interface

This is a very basic looking set up for a interactive experience.  The changeable language's is a plus and always shows business professionalism.  This is a good and easy kiosk to use for just about anybody, despite its boring appearance, it gets the job done efficiently and effectively.

Travelers Kiosk

Interactive media is going to take over the world just as cassettes turned into CD's then Mp3's I can see this way of advertising rising to the top in major cities and around the world.  Its neat to look at this screen shot because it, itself could be a kiosk screen.  With the placement of the links and a main viewing area with how they sit, i can see this set up being very effective and easy to use for the viewer.

Wall Kiosk

I see this being the future of the world, when you walk down a street, instead of seeing a large poster or a banner you'l see an interactive advertisement.  I like how they used basic shapes as placeholders for the links to interact with.  I cant wait to see more of these in day to day life.

Hyundai Kiosk

I think this is a cool design, but i think it has some issues.  The navigation scroll bars that look like this are always pixelated and delayed when you use them, i also find it is harder to click on ONE link when they are all so bunched together.  it is interesting how it looks like the main screen is in a hangar, and when you click on a link it pops up on the floor like your in the room, cool.

kiosk

When you think of kiosk, you ussually think of touch screens, i like how the menu is simple and the scroll bar on the bottom is in clear view. if you want to pick one you like there is a "get Movie" button that is easy and simple to identify.  All the navigation is there but maybe it could be a little biut more modern than what it is now.  it looks kinda blocky.

I like the realness of this label, it really grabs my eye with the high quality resolution of the picture. I'm not really a fan of borders or strokes, but i feel like this one is working well with the aesthetics and the use of white text around the border.  I can name what the cd is for because it is in a different language, but i like the overall piece. 

I think this cd label is getting the job done, in contrast to what Willie said about strong gradients with them being to strong, I think this is a way of getting around that.  The use of strong white on the bottom half of the cd to use that area as the text holder makes it ok in my eyes.  the one thing I don't like the lines in the top left as a design they remind me of a 1996 mac screen saver...gross
